Our Succulent Nursery in California grows all of our succulents locally. Each cutting is hand-selected from our carefully tended mother stock, which undergoes yearly inspection by agricultural officials. These cuttings, void of roots, soil, and pots, are easy to root even for those with little experience. Freshly cut and calloused prior to shipping, the cuttings arrive in a box within approximately 5 days, during which time their colors may shift slightly.

Upon receiving your cuttings, it is crucial to plant them immediately in a well-draining succulent and cactus soil mix to prevent root rot. Lightly moisten the soil before planting the cuttings 1/2 to 1 inch deep, taking care not to oversaturate, as the lack of roots makes them susceptible to rot. Place them in a warm, shaded area with indirect or filtered sunlight, watering 5-10 days after planting. Roots typically develop within 2-6 weeks. Avoid direct sunlight at all costs, as this will quickly kill the cuttings.

Once rooted, water your succulents weekly or when the soil is completely dry. Keep in mind that their colors and vibrancy will be influenced by their growing environment, both indoor/outdoor and seasonal dormancy periods.
