OCTUPOS AGAVE – Originating in the Southwest and Mediterranean climate, the Octupos Agave can adapt to other regions and can still grow in pots as long as it is protected in the winter season. The symmetry design of its leaves, the curled threads, or the undulating striped leaves make it a visually pleasing and an ideal plant for landscaping designs. Agave plants are also believed to be fire-retardant. The plant's name, "Octupos," is due to its green narrow leaves that twist back towards the ground, giving it the appearance of an octopus with outstretched tentacles.
HOW TO GROW AN AGAVE PLANT – Agave plants require bright light in order to maintain their eye-catching forms. They are easy to grow and don't require much attention. Agave can last a week or even months without water, but it still needs to be watered at least once a week. You can pot an agave in a soil mix, separating the sand and the other part being compost. Fertilizing can be done once a year, as Agave plants don't require much.
TAKING CARE OF AGAVE – If you intend to plant your Agave outdoors and the sun or the freezing cold is too much for it to handle, you can simply protect it with a shade cloth, and your Agave will be just fine.
